“Having been in the industry for more than 30 years manufacturing spiral freezers, installing throughout Europe and also varied sheet metal and fabrication work, I thought it was time to “go it alone”.
In September 2002, SAS Sheetmetal & Fabrication Ltd was born. We started in a humble 1900 sq ft workshop with a small selection of equipment and help from my wife (our sole breadwinner) and Father-in-law - who was retired. We quickly began to grow , investing in modern machinery and employing skilled staff, we progressed and eventually outgrew our workshop and expanded into a neighbouring unit.
It was in 2009 that we finally moved into one, much larger, premises and with more employees , we have remained with us for many years, we still maintain a “family-run” business environment which has amassed a wealth of experience and built solid working relationships with our customers.
In July 2012, we began to operate a laser cutting service which has not only enabled us to offer our customers greater project efficiency, but to also provide an extra level of quality control. ”
